Roeh (Pastor) Samuel Lewis

Congregational Leader

Sam & Liza Lewis with their children

Sam was born and raised in the Pittsburgh region and  from an early age he came to believe that Jesus was his LORD and Savior.  It wasn’t until years later that he came to realize that the Jesus he loved was called Yeshua and that Yeshua has always been the Jewish Messiah. Majoring in Religious Studies at a secular university unknowingly set the stage for his faith to be reawakened after the loss of his mother. This brought clear realization that the Old and New Covenant are not separated, and that the Caleb/Ruth calling felt by so many Gentiles at this point in history is a significant part of the LORD’s plan for end time revival. His wife Liza has been a follower of Yeshua, passionately worshiping her Savior for almost twenty years, having come to this saving knowledge through a complex series of spiritual events and spending several years as a missionary with YWAM in Amsterdam, England, and India. (Feel free to ask her in person about her testimony of Yeshua saving and redeeming her life!)

Sam and Liza were married in 2006, and together with their children, they love their city and have a heart to foster a healing and discipling community in the Messianic movement in Pittsburgh… to restore the broken and seek the ancient pathway spoken of in the Book of Jeremiah. The Lewis’ believe the proper aligning with the saved remnant in Israel is paramount for the restoration of all things and the return of Yeshua, this along with true worship that longs for the move of the Holy Spirit and coupled with prophetic teaching. They feel an excitement to be part of the Tikkun network and an extension of it here in Pittsburgh.
